I experienced financial hardship as a result of a previous relationship where I was a victim of domestic violence and financial abuse. During this time, I was coerced into taking out a loan with a bank, which I was later left solely responsible for repaying. Shortly after leaving the relationship, my mother passed away, which caused significant emotional and mental stress. This resulted in me taking unpaid leave from work. A few months later, I was diagnosed with endometriosis, which led to further time off work and an ongoing reduction in my income. I attempted to budget carefully and also applied for financial hardship assistance, however these measures did not provide sufficient relief. As a result, I continued to struggle to keep up with my debts and basic living expenses. I am seeking a debt agreement as a way to put this difficult period behind me and regain control of my financial situation in a way that is manageable for my income.
