Success Story ACT

Leo Anderson - ACT

  • Originally came to Debt Fix in May 2025.
  • He had been out of work for 6 months not earning an income. He fell behind on his car loan, home loan and relied on credit cards whilst he was out of work
  • He tried to take out a consolidation loan, and they used his vehicle as security, but he cannot afford the high repayments. He tried to refinance his mortgage but was unsuccessful due to his recent unemployment and failed payment history
  • He then sat on the Debt Agreement offer for 5 months and did not make a decision
  • He then reached out in November, and his situation had taken a downturn. He and his wife were going through a separation, and they were working out how to split their finances. His car was repossessed, and the value of the car was not enough to pay out his loans
  • His consolidation loan had taken legal action against him and was approved by the courts to take any necessary action to collect their debts
  • By the time he came back to Debt Fix it was too late to protect him from this collection action and his house is at risk of being forcibly sold.
