My financial difficulties began when a close member of my family passed away. I took out a high-interest loan with short repayment terms so I could travel overseas and help pay for the funeral. 

I experienced financial hardship as a result of a previous relationship where I was a victim of domestic violence and financial abuse. During this time, I was coerced into taking out a loan with a bank, which I was later left solely responsible for repaying. 

I acknowledge that I’ve made some poor financial decisions, particularly with gambling, which led me into a difficult and unsustainable situation. I take full responsibility for the choices I made. To cover my losses, I turned to credit cards and short-term personal loans, which has only made matters worse.  

Over time, I found myself in a difficult financial situation after taking out several short term loans with high interest rates to cover general living expenses. I intended these to be temporary solutions, but I quickly became stuck in a cycle of debt, taking out new loans just to cover repayments on existing ones.  

I ran into financial trouble after experiencing a period of unemployment, which led me to take out several loans to cover my living expenses. Over the past year, I have faced significant financial hardship following a traumatic incident of domestic violence that completely disrupted my life. As a result, I was forced to move out of my home. For two months, I stayed with a friend while trying to find stable accommodation and had to place all of my belongings in storage. Unfortunately, I was later asked to move out again, leaving me in an unstable living situation. 

Everything started to unravel when my relationship with my ex-wife ended, and she was granted full custody of our children.
