Success Story Peter

Peter Williams - WA

Peters mum called into debt fix seeking guidance for her son. Peter has been avoiding discussing his debts as they trigger feelings of hopelessness and anxiety.

Once on an above average salary working in the mines, Peter took out multiple loans thinking he would be able to easily pay down the debt in a short time. These were intended to help him and his partner set themselves up in their own home as a young couple. When Peter unexpectedly lost his job due to a site closure, the pressure hit hard. Peter has managed to find new employment at a lower rate. On top of this he has just discovered that he is soon to become a first time father of not one but two (twins).

Peter is generally of a sound mind. He does not usually struggle with mental health issues. The debt collectors continued to call and the interest to snowball. Peter decided to push the debts to the back of his mind to protect his mental health and his young family. Recently, they have discovered that there may be serious pregnancy complications. As a result, they have become a single income household and it is paramount that Peter remains close to his partner rather than pursuing more lucrative work in another mine.

The debt agreement allows Peter to holt the creditor contact and focus on his young family. This is an opportunity for Peter to clear off the debt while his children are still small and set the family up on a more prosperous trajectory for the future. He can focus on maintaining his mental and financial health; He can remain a rock for his partner regardless of the health challenges she is facing without constant calls from collection agencies.

I experienced financial hardship after unexpectedly losing my previous high-paying job. During the period of unemployment, I relied on limited savings to cover essential expenses, which quickly depleted. Although I have since returned to work, my current role offers a significantly lower salary than before, making it difficult to keep up with existing debt obligations despite careful budgeting. I explored options such as debt consolidation and personal loans, but these were unsuccessful. This situation has been extremely stressful, and my priority is to resolve these debts in a way that aligns with my current income. After reviewing all available options, I believe this debt agreement is the most responsible and practical solution to regain control of my finances without resorting to bankruptcy. I am committed to honoring this agreement and sincerely hope my creditors will accept this proposal. Note: Other household costs are for debtors partners debts. Note: Debtors 1996 Ford Courier has no allocated costs as it is unroadworthy and unregistered.
