Success Story Single

Single mum managing grief, finances, & a child - $14,415.84

Following the passing of my mother, I was faced with sudden and significant financial strain. I had to leave further studies, which added to the burden, and I am now doing my best to support my young family as a single parent, while also assisting relatives abroad during this difficult time. My child lives with a chronic health condition, which adds further complexity to our daily life and financial needs. Despite my best efforts to budget and manage repayments, I continue to struggle. I’ve explored options such as consolidating my debts through a loan, but was unsuccessful. This situation has been incredibly stressful, but I remain committed to resolving it in a way that aligns with my current income. I am determined not to pursue bankruptcy, and after careful consideration, I believe a debt agreement is the most responsible and realistic path forward. I sincerely hope my creditors will accept this proposal so I can move forward with stability and dignity. Note: Other household expenses are Debtors support of family living abroad. Note: Centrelink advance is non-provable. Note: Transport costs are high as debtor need to use carshare to get to and from work.

Dropped out of beauty school due to personal reasons (Plans to go back when she is able to afford the course). Mum passed. Son has a whole in his heart and she had to pull out to take him to a medical appointment.
